We for You | Daily Reflection | *by Maryam* ❤️
Salam Alaikum dear Sisters,🌸
I hope you all are feeling better and better InshaAllah.
A warm welcome to all sisters who recently joined our group and community. ❤️
Today I was asked a question that made me reflect:
“My friend says many women are now in psychiatric care… is that true? Do you know many people struggling emotionally?”
Yes, it’s true and I hear this topic more and more often. And through my daily work with women, their emotions, belief patterns, and inner experiences, I cannot ignore what I am seeing.
Based on my personal observations:
– around 70–80% of women I work with are experiencing emotional or psychological strain (stress, anxiety, overwhelm and depression)
– a large proportion are also dealing with physical health challenges such as hormonal imbalances, thyroid and digestive issues, immune system diseases.
This is not a small issue anymore, it is something we need to take seriously.
From what I see, one of the deeper causes is that many people do not truly know themselves. They begin to identify with their emotions, instead of understanding them. When emotions become identity, it becomes much harder to find clarity or direction.
These patterns usually do not resolve on their own. They require awareness, inner work, and the right kind of support.
At the same time, support can take different forms. For some, professional or medical help is an important part of the process, but it should be combined with deeper self-understanding, not replace it.
This is why self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and inner healing are no longer optional - they are essential for each of us. ❣️
🔑 A simple tool you can use daily
When a strong emotion comes, pause for 90 seconds. Breathe, and notice where you feel it in your body. Let the wave pass. It’s very uncomfortable and hard but
don’t feed the feeling with thoughts, stories, or overthinking.
The more you repeat the story in your mind, the stronger the emotion becomes. *What you focus on grows- so choose not to feed what is draining you.*❌
Instead, observe it, allow it, and then ask:
“What is this feeling showing me?” , “What Allah SWT trying to teach me through this situation “.
Water calming (drink it, wash yourself), slowing and deepening breathing calming, sitting or lying down calming. Jumping, dancing or shaking your hands as well calming. Engage in Dhikr (Adhkar). “Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”
Don’t overthink it, feel it , just do it what is helping you.
Tears is a release of emotions, don’t stop it. If you withhold it you’ll get headache. *Remember, tears are a natural process of the body.*❣️They help release emotional tension and allow you to process what you are feeling. There is strength in allowing yourself to FEEL FULLY.
🌿 Most importantly, look after yourself holistically each day .
Ask yourself honestly:
– Am I sleeping enough?
– Am I eating properly?
– Is my body functioning well?
Sometimes what we feel emotionally is deeply connected to how we are caring for our body.
True wellbeing comes from addressing the whole person, not just one part.
*Without this holistic approach, change remains temporary.*⚠️
It is also important to remember that a large part of our mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing is influenced by our daily habits, choices, and self-awareness.
I strongly believe that prevention is better than cure, taking care of yourself daily is key to maintaining long-term health and wellbeing.
That is why in WeForYou, our main aim is to support individuals, bring the community together, and empower women with practical tools, beneficial knowledge, and a deeper sense of purpose and meaning in life.
At the same time, seeking professional support when needed is a strength, not a weakness.
I personally invite you all to support one another with sincerity and care. And for those who feel ready to contribute and benefit the wider community, you are warmly welcome to join our volunteer team, InshaAllah.
Volunteering is one of the most powerful ways to support both the community and your own wellbeing, helping you find purpose, build meaningful connections, and shift away from stress.
When you give to others, you also give back to yourself in ways you may not expect.
Let’s move forward with awareness, compassion, and responsibility for our growth.
With love and care ❤️
