We for You | Daily Reflection | *by Maryam* ❤️

Salam Alaikum dear Sisters.🌸 I hope you all are feeling better and better InshaAllah.

A warm welcome to all the sisters who recently joined our group and are willing to learn more about themselves. ❤️

Allah says in the Qur’an:

“Ṣibghat Allah - and who is better than Allah in coloring?”
(Qur’an 2:138)

The word ṣibghah means coloring or dye, something that completely changes what it touches. Just as color spreads through fabric, the things we constantly surround ourselves with slowly “color” our hearts, minds, and identity.

Psychology teaches us that human beings are deeply influenced by what they repeatedly see, hear, and experience. Our environment shapes our thoughts. The people around us affect our emotions. The words we listen to become part of our inner voice. Even the content we consume daily can slowly shape our self-worth, desires, and worldview.

The Qur’an beautifully reminds us of truths that psychology also observes today. Every day, something is coloring us:

• social media,
• beauty standards,
• friendships and relationships
• fears,
• comparison,
• success,
• or faith.

So the question becomes:
What color is reaching our hearts?

Allah SWT reminds us that the best “coloring” is His guidance - a heart colored with iman, mercy, modesty, sincerity, patience, and peace.

And this connects beautifully to the verses about sight and eyes in the Qur’an. Allah says:

“It is not the eyes that are blind, but the hearts within the chests that are blind.”
(Qur’an 22:46)

A person can see perfectly with their eyes yet still feel lost inside. Psychology also speaks about this: people may appear successful, beautiful, or confident outwardly while internally struggling with emptiness, anxiety, or identity confusion.

True vision is not only what the eyes see. It is what the heart understands.

And Allah SWT , in His mercy, gave us the ability to choose:
what we watch,
what we listen to,
who we surround ourselves with,
where we stay,
what we normalise,
and what we allow to enter our hearts.

Every choice quietly shapes us.

Because *over time, repeated thoughts become beliefs, beliefs shape behavior, and behavior shapes identity.*❣️

Today, let’s take a moment to reflect:

What is coloring our hearts lately?

I’m inviting to make one small intentional choice today:

✅watch something beneficial,
✅listen to words that bring peace,
✅spend time with someone who reminds us of Allah SWT ,
✅step away from comparison and conflicts,
✅or replace one negative thought with gratitude.

Small things repeated daily shape the heart slowly.

May Allah make our hearts soft and peaceful and guide us to surround ourselves with people who lift us up, remind us of Him, and bring peace and goodness into our hearts.
May Allah SWT color our hearts with faith instead of insecurity, with tranquility instead of comparison, and with light instead of confusion and conflicts.

Ameen.🤲🏻❤️
