And dear Sisters, I would like to share an important reflection from what I often witness in our 1:1 conversations.

Many women express that their husbands are often not present, and over time, they begin to feel deeply lonely. This feeling is real and valid. However, sometimes in this space, *a woman may unknowingly fall into a more dependent or “child-like” emotional position*- waiting to be fulfilled only through her spouse.

From a psychological perspective, this can deepen loneliness rather than ease it.

It is important to remember that one person alone cannot meet all of our emotional needs.⚠️

*In the past, women lived within close communities*- among sisters, neighbors, and extended family. They supported one another, shared life together, and created a strong sense of belonging. This connection was natural and protective for emotional wellbeing.

Today, many of us live more isolated lives, which can intensify feelings of loneliness within marriage.

That is why reconnecting with other sisters and building friendships, sharing, and being part of supportive circles, can be deeply healing. It’s not replacing the spouse, but strengthening the individual. Sometimes, connection with others becomes a form of therapy for the heart.

And dear Brothers, support your wives in this. Encourage them to build healthy connections and take part in beneficial gatherings.

Some men carry a fear, fear of losing their wife or concern that she may be influenced in a negative way. But when a woman is in a healthy environment that strengthens her character, values, and femininity, it does not take her away from the marriage, it strengthens her within it.
If a woman changes, it does not automatically mean the relationship is at risk. Often, it means she is growing, healing, and becoming more aware of herself.

What matters is how she changes.
If she becomes more grounded, emotionally balanced, and connected to her values, this strengthens the marriage, not weakens it.

And if there was already a gap in the relationship, growth may make that gap more visible but it did not create it.

This is an opportunity to acknowledge what has been unspoken and to rebuild with more awareness and intention.

*Growth in one partner is not the problem- ignoring the gap is.*⚠️

P.S.

🌸 Beginner self-development classes for sisters will restart from 5th April, InshaAllah.
Further details will be shared soon.
These sessions will be a blend of psychology, Islamic understanding, and feminine wellbeing, supporting sisters both within their marriages and as individuals.

And for brothers, we also have a dedicated brothers’ group within the community.

*By learning about ourselves and understanding one another, we build healthier homes, stronger families, and more connected communities.*❣️
