Salam Alaikum sisters. How are you feeling today? I hope better and better Alhamdulilah.

Besides that, my body and Allah SWT have put me on bed rest due to illness. It's important to remember that illness is for our own good. When you get sick, it’s a signal that you need to slow down, take a break, and make changes in your life. If you continue in the same pattern after recovering, it means you haven’t learned anything about yourself or taken steps to change. Every disease is an opportunity to turn inward, reflect on life, feel your body, and rest.

That’s why I always encourage you to feel your body, make changes, and have 2-3 alternative plans for how you’re going to move forward. Do everything in moderation and don’t deceive yourself.

But TODAY, it’s not about illness; it’s ABOUT SCHOOL AND LEARNING.

I encourage you to speak with your children and share your experiences about school. Do you know that your life stories teach your kids the most? Once, my kids asked me if I ever bunked school. I said, 'Yes, I did,' 😬and then shared the whole story and the lessons I learned from it.

Netflix has some great trivia and quizzes you can play with your kids. Be united with them, and do activities together. One of the activities on Netflix is a 'Yes or No' game about school. One of the questions was, 'Did you ever have a crush on your school teacher?' I said, 'Yes,' and my daughter was surprised and said, 'What? I never was!' Then, we discussed what features that teacher had and many other things. Another question that came up was, 'Were you ever bullied at school?' My daughter said yes, and we had a conversation about it. We talked about her experience and how she dealt with it. It was a meaningful discussion that helped us understand each other better, situation and provide her with the support she needed to hear.

Ask your children how they are feeling about school and new academic year, what they like and dislike about school and teachers.
