We for You | Daily Reflection | *by Maryam* ❤️

Salam Alaikum, dear sisters 🌸
I hope you are all feeling well today, InshaAllah.

Have you ever been in a situation where someone blamed you unfairly, refused to truly listen to your honest explanation, and accused you of being someone you are not?

I have, even today, and I’d like to share this reflection with you.

When I’m blamed without cause, my body reacts strongly.
I feel shaking in my legs, tightness in my chest, pressure in my voice, sometimes even tears in my eyes. Along with that come emotions like anger, disappointment, and a deep sense of injustice.
This is not emotional instability. It is a clear and natural body response to perceived injustice.

When we are blamed unfairly, the nervous system often interprets it as a threat:

“My value, my reputation, or my sense of justice is under attack.”

At that moment, the fight-or-flight response activates automatically:

🦵 Shaking legs, the body prepares for action.
❤️ Tightness in the chest, adrenaline and held breath.
🗣️ Pressure in the voice, like a ball in the throat, the urge to defend while still wanting acceptance.
😢 Tears in the eyes.

*This is not weakness. It is a strong instinct for justice.*❗️

Personally, I’m grateful that I have this instinct. Alhamdulillah 🤲🏻
What truly matters is understanding what is happening inside us.

❤️I highly recommend starting by consciously recognising what you are doing in these moments and how your body is reacting.
This awareness alone already creates space between you and the reaction.

The problem is not that you or I are “too sensitive.” ❗️

The problem is that:

⚡️ we were not truly heard.
⚡️ our explanation was dismissed.
⚡️ intentions were assigned to us that were never ours.

Very often, the body understands this before the mind does.

So here is what I practice in those moments:

🌿 I’m Grounding

If I’m standing, I sit down.
I press my feet into the ground and my body into the chair or sofa.
Silently I say:
“I am here. I am safe. I don’t need to fight to survive.”

🌬️ I’m Breathing

I inhale through the nose and exhale slowly with a soft “haaa.” I repeat this at least 2-3 times to release tension in the chest and throat.

🧠 I pause the mind

When the urge to prove myself appears, I say internally, not aloud:
“I don’t need to win this battle to be right.”

🛡️ And I shield myself with imaginary shield like extremely strong transparent glass and saying these words internally, not loud:

“I hear the accusation, but I do not accept it. That is your interpretation, not my truth. To me my truth, to you your truth. I don’t need to prove anything to you. I am separating myself from what is not mine.”

This is not withdrawal, it is emotional protection.
And if I feel there are too many emotions and words coming from another person, I allow myself to leave without guilt, while clearly saying:
“I’m not continuing this discussion at the moment, and I’m stopping here.”

*Remember dear sisters, silence after that is strength, not weakness.*❗️

Previously, I would fight and try to prove myself. But now I know my truth and it’s okay to give up the fight. 😊

My next step is to process and feel all emotions.

I recommend lying on the bed, but you can choose any comfortable position.
Close your eyes if it feels safe.
Observe your breath.
Repeat quietly:
“The feeling passes when I don’t fight it.”
Even a little calm matters.
Place a hand on your chest if you feeling so, but I personally not doing it, and just say:

“I choose myself. And Allah SWT sees and knows best. I don’t need to be Allah SWT. I don’t need to decide, defend, or prove anything to anyone. I am who I am now. I know my intention and my truth.”

And also I’m thanking for the experience. And sending to this person a lot of light and love. ❤️

And I’m doing one more thing, but about it more in classes InshaAllah .

What matters most for you to understand:
The urge to fight comes from self-worth, not aggression.
Not every truth is defended through words. Sometimes truth is protected by walking away.
You are not required to convince everyone. And your intention matters and Allah SWT knows your heart.

“Your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His path and who is rightly guided.”
(Qur’an 6:117)

And one more thing:
Everyone is talking about childhood traumas and reactions nowadays. You might ask whether this comes from childhood trauma or whether it is a natural response. I can answer in short: it can be either and very often it is both.
But what I described is first and foremost a natural human response, not a diagnosis and not a trauma.

If you reacting like me- nothing about this reaction means something is “wrong” with you or with me.
Exploring it more deeply can come later, gently and only when we feel safe enough to do so.
For now, it is enough for you to know this: that your body is protecting your dignity. It’s ok and your heart knows your intention. And that Allah SWT knows best.

Hugging you all and wishing you a blessed Friday and a peaceful, warm weekend ahead. ☀️❤️🤲🏻
