Salam Alaikum dear Brothers and Sisters, I hope you all are doing well today.

Let us reflect on something essential for the health of our homes:

The father is the roof. The mother is the air. 🏠

Children need you both to grow.

If the roof is unstable, leaking, or loud in storms -the whole home becomes unsafe.
If the air is heavy, hot, or cold -the children cannot breathe in peace.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 How the Mother Feels, the Children Feel

Children live inside their mother’s emotional field.
If she is anxious, crying, angry, or overwhelmed -the child absorbs it fully.
If she is calm, emotionally supported, spiritually nourished- the child becomes more stable.

So if the mother is hurting, the children will show it in:

• Misbehavior
• Shouting
• Mood swings
• Illness
• Emotional sensitivity

🛡️ Dear Brothers: Your Role is Sacred

You are not just the provider -*you are the protector of peace*.
You are the roof under which your wife and children feel safe.

If the home is full of arguments, shouting, tension, or emotional instability - dear brothers, you are not just a witness to it.
*You are responsible to stabilize it.*‼️

Yes, 50% of every argument may be her part -
But 100% of the leadership and emotional security is your responsibility.

A true man is not loud.
A true man is a shelter.
A wall of wisdom.
A roof that doesn’t collapse in storms.

🌸 Dear Sisters: You Are the Air

Your presence fills the home.
If you are filled with dhikr, softness, and presence -your children will thrive.
But if you are always reactive, emotionally unbalanced, blaming, or harsh - it becomes hard for your children to feel peace.

Your heart is their atmosphere.
So take care of it. Rest. Heal your emotional wounds. Be aware.

So answer for yourself:

Am I contributing to peace, or to chaos?

*Because what lives in your home is not just furniture and walls*- what lives there are souls.
And they are shaped by your emotional truth.

Because children don’t only inherit genetics.
They inherit emotional environments.

Build wisely. Love consciously. Heal intentionally.

*May Allah make our homes places of sakinah (peace), rahmah (mercy), and barakah (blessing). Ameen.*🤲🏻❤️
