Salam Alaikum, sisters. 🌸Hope you are doing well today.
My past messages were about us, but today, I want to remind you about TODDLERS.
Being a mom to a toddler—or several small children—is incredibly challenging. The endless responsibilities, the lack of personal time, and the constant demands can feel overwhelming. But important not to lose ourselves. Parenting is not just about raising children; it’s also about our own self-development. The more we grow as individuals, the more patience, wisdom, and balance we bring into our parenting.
Whenever you feel exhausted from household tasks and parenting, try to look at your toddler from a different perspective.
Have you noticed how seriously a toddler takes their job?
And what is that job? Simple – to explore, push boundaries, and test if rules always apply. A hardworking toddler’s typical day looks like this:
• You say not to take something – they take it.
• You say not to climb – they’re already on the table.
• You say to avoid the puddle – but how else would they feel wet shoes?
• And then… drawing on the walls. Somehow, masterpieces appear where they shouldn’t—again.
That’s exactly how it should be! A child learns by experiencing, touching, and testing everything firsthand. If they simply sat still and obeyed, their growth would stall.
They’re not trying to frustrate you—they’re learning.
• Stepping in puddles strengthens their brain.
• Seeing your reaction teaches them about emotions and limits.
• Even their wall art builds motor skills and creativity!
Let’s appreciate these little explorers. One day, they’ll grow up and be free to create without limits—but today, they’re discovering the world. Let’s cherish that.
