Salam Alaikum dear sisters,🌸
I hope you are all feeling well today, and a warm welcome to the new sisters who have joined us recently 🌷
One of the most valuable parts of self-development is learning about ourselves, how our bodies, minds, and emotions function together. When we understand this, we can take better care of the gift of health that Allah SWT has entrusted to us.
Alongside psychology, as a health educator and holistic therapist, I believe it is important to teach people to read the signs of our bodies, to choose nutrition that matches our personal needs (age, genetics, activity level, hormones, gut health, autoimmune issues, etc.), to understand common diseases, read test results and to know simple natural ways to support ourselves and our loved ones.
Today is Thursday and I’m continuing messages about our physical health and bodies.
Research shows that 60–70% of your health depends on the daily choices we make.
Around 20% of health is influenced by genetics, but epigenetics teaches us that our lifestyle can “switch on or off” how our genes behave. And doctors are there to support us when extra care is needed. So for long-term health, their role is smaller compared to what we do every day.
*This means that how we feel and how we function is in our own hands.*‼️
Remember: our body often speaks to us with small signs long before test results become abnormal.
🌸 Now a question for you all, dear sisters:
There is one simple habit that protects your body every day - especially important for women - and even lowers the risk of cancer.
Do you know what it is?
I will send the answer later today, InshaAllah. Meanwhile, I look forward to hearing your thoughts 💭
