Salam Alaikum sisters🌸How are you feeling today?
People pleasers are made, not born.
When a child wants to say something, show something, and he/ she is pushed away. When they say: “get out of here, you're too young/ stupid”. When he/ she is ignored and left to grow on its own, even in good environment conditions
…child’s feelings and emotions are neglected. These children feel unloved and unwanted. But children always want to please parents naturally. They starting please parents to feel worthy of love.
These children grow up and as an adults taking care about others more than themselves. Because after all, the desire to be liked, to be seen and loved comes from a lack of attention and love in childhood. Most of them afraid to feel rejected and having low self esteem.
This is different from kindness, generosity, or altruism.
Self care is not selfishness what we know now, but it’s not easy to start prioritise yourself when you are and adult.
Ask yourself: Why I want to please others? Why I’m neglecting myself? ( if your needs and wishes you are puting in the last place). Is it easy or hard to draw personal boundaries and say NO to others. How I’m feeling when I’m choosing myself?
