The Blob Tree for children
You can use it with your children, but the explanation for them should be given in their understanding and language.
It’s good tool for children to understand and express their emotions in a fun, approachable way. The images of the blobs are simple which makes it easier for them to identify their own emotional states, even if they don’t have the vocabulary to describe them fully.
Ask your child to choose a blob that represents how they’re feeling right now. You can ask him/ her even to draw their chosen blob or describe it to you.
Children can share which blob they chose and why, helping them learn how to express emotions and listen to others.
Ask children which blob they would like to be more like and what steps they can take to reach that state. This can help build problem-solving skills and emotional intelligence.
