The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are almost here and the Prophet ﷺ said there are no days on the entire calendar in which good deeds are more loved by Allah than these. Not Ramadan. Not Laylatul Qadr. These ten days.
The companions were stunned when they heard this.
They asked: not even jihad in the path of Allah? The Prophet saw said: not even jihad, except for a man who goes out with his life and his wealth and returns with neither.
That should change how you approach the next week.
Whatever you can do in these days; prayer, charity, fasting, dhikr, Qur’ān, a kind word, mending a relationship, it lands differently. The same deed that you might do on any ordinary Tuesday carries more weight in these ten days than almost anything else you could do all year.
You don't have to be at Hajj to benefit. You just have to show up with whatever you have.
