To those who say that children need discipline and try to justify punishment, control or using physical abuse, I would like to remind you that the meaning of discipline is teaching. And first of all, teaching takes place through our example. Children learn from their parents and by applying punishments, without even thinking about it, we teaching how to (ineffectively) solve life problems. So, when children seems are lack of discipline, think about what do you really want to teach them? And in what way? Because the methods you choose are also the lessons your children will learn from you. And always think about how this discipline corresponds with child's development, what child comunicating through his behavior, what is child’s needs and what problems child facing and how your behaviour will help him to gain skills.
