Salam Alaikum everyone. I hope you are doing well today🌸

Today about apologising.

ARE YOU FORCING KIDS TO APOLOGISE?

-Say sorry to me!!! - mother shouting to her 5 years old son.

- Say sorry to your brother! - mother forsing sibling to apologise.

- Apologise now! -wife demanding from husband

- Say sorry first!- husband shouting at wife.

A forced apology is something that almost all of us grew up with and something that almost everyone continues to grow up with.

🌸I recommend to teach apologies (as well as gratitude and politeness) by how you behaving and interact with your children, through yourself rather than encouraging/forcing them to say certain words like thank you, please and sorry.🌸

I myself heard many times how moms reminding kids: “ Where is “Thank you?”, “Say magic word”…

When children are told to say certain words, especially when they don't understand their meaning, or not feeling to say it’s not only creates an inauthentic relationship and perspective, but also not allowing children to do it sincerely.

If you've always pressured your child to say thank you politely, to apologize when they're wrong, you'll never know when it's sincere and when it's just doing what's expected from him/her.

💗Conscious parenting is about conscious self-awareness, situational awareness, authenticity, creating a true authentic connection.

Reflect and contemplate on yourself. Why do you need to hear apology from husband/ kids even if it’s not sincere.

Do you force your children to apologize?

Maybe you remember how you felt when your parents did the same thing to you?

Or maybe you didn't encourage the children to thank and apologize and now they do it themselves sincerely of their own free will?

Feel and see your inner child and the child you are raising and seeing in front of you now❤️
