Salam Alaikum Sisters🌸
I hope you are all doing well today.

Today about CHECKING FACTS

I want to share something I recently came across that made me reflect on the importance of verifying information. There’s an illusion being shared on social media called the “Rotating Snakes,” created by Japanese psychologist Akiyoshi Kitaoka. The claim going around is that this illusion can determine your level of psychological calm. It says:

“If the illusion appears still to you, it means you’re calm and rested. If it moves, you need a break. And if it’s moving very fast, it means you need a full 8 hours of sleep.”

SO, while this illusion is indeed fascinating, there isn’t solid scientific proof that links how much the illusion moves to your stress level or need for rest. The illusion tricks our brain based on how we process visual information like brightness and contrast, and while stress and fatigue might influence what we see, it’s not an accurate way to measure how much sleep or rest you need.

So it’s always important to check the facts behind what we see or hear. Intuition and reason go hand in hand. Let’s keep ourselves informed and take care of our well-being with mindfulness, feel our bodies and rest when we need it. 🌸
