Salam Alaikum dear Brothers and Sisters, hope you all are feeling well.

Today about Noticing the Signs in Marriage and Healing Before It’s Too Late

Marriage is not just a nikah contract, it’s a journey of the soul. It doesn’t break overnight. Most often, it fades silently through emotional distance, unspoken pain, or daily disconnection.

That’s why the most important thing is this:

👉*Notice when you’re no longer happy. Don’t ignore the signs. Your heart whispers long before it breaks.*

💔 Emotional disconnection is a sign. Silence is a sign. Feeling alone in marriage is a sign.

If you feel like:

💔You’re functioning together but not connecting
💔Affection, kind words, and joy have disappeared
💔You’re walking on eggshells or avoiding real conversations
💔You feel more like roommates than partners…

📌 These are not things to “just get used to.” They are signs your marriage needs nurturing, understanding, and healing.

🧠 Marriage has emotional stages and not all are easy:

1. Honeymoon Stage (0–2 years) – Full of love and idealisation.
2. Power Struggle Stage (1–5 years) – Conflicts, ego, and differences arise.
3. Stability Stage (5–10 years) – Learning teamwork, acceptance, and emotional growth.
4. Commitment Stage (10+ years). Deeper love based on loyalty, not just feelings
5. Legacy Stage (15–20+ years).Building purpose and peace together.

💡 Every couple will cycle through these differently. ‼️
Some get stuck. Some grow. Some silently suffer. The goal is not perfection, it’s awareness.

💬 Ask yourself with honesty ( and once a month revise):

✅Are we still connected or just surviving?
✅Do I feel emotionally safe and valued?
✅Are we addressing problems or avoiding them?
✅Is there love and tranquility or just responsibility?

🕊️ In Islam, marriage is meant to be a source of love (mawaddah), mercy (rahmah), and peace (sakeenah) and not a place of fear, neglect, or emotional loneliness.

But that takes effort, self-awareness, and intention from both sides.

✨ If something feels wrong, speak. Reflect. Seek help. Even small changes can bring life back into a marriage if both hearts are willing.
And if only one is willing, then take steps to protect your heart and dignity with wisdom and tawakkul.

May Allah SWT soften our hearts, heal our homes, and bless our marriages with light, clarity, and barakah. ❤️🤲🏻
