Salam Alaikum sisters. Hope you all doing well. 🌸 I’m slowly returning to work and continuing studies.
Today about: Psychosomatics is Not Magic!😉
Sometimes people ask if psychosomatics is like magic, bioenergy healing, or something similar. It’s not! 🙂
Psychosomatics deals with how emotions are reflected in the body. It’s about how your nervous system responds to emotional stimuli, affecting physical sensations. This branch of psychology has been studied and acknowledged for over 40 years. For example, when you're anxious about an upcoming stressful situation, you might feel your stomach “bubbling”– that’s your mind and body reacting in unison.
Our minds can't tell the difference between what’s imagined and what’s real – the body reacts the same way!
Understanding this can help ease life’s challenges. Each organ has a specific function tied to emotions, so if something is off, it’s often linked to negative experiences or feelings.
This is science, supported by years of research, and it keeps evolving to benefit more people.
Here are some interesting facts:
- In Eastern philosophy, they say: “Your worst enemies can’t cause as much harm as your own thoughts.”
- Avicenna, a famous physician, said: “A doctor has three tools to fight illness: words, herbs, and a scalpel.” Notice how “words” are the first!
- In a Paris hospital, psychologist Émile Coué asked patients to repeat, “Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better,” three times daily. Within a month, patients began to recover at an astonishing rate, even avoiding surgeries!
Your health is a reflection of your thoughts and lifestyle. The link between mental and physical health is undeniable.
So wishing everyone to be conscious about your thoughts and pronounced words towards yourself and others. They are really having power.
Stay healthy, happy, conscious and have a nice week ahead. ❤️
