We for You | Daily Reflection | *by Maryam* ❤️
Assalamu Alaikum dear Sisters, ❤️🌷
I hope you are all doing well, InshaAllah.
Today I wanted to remind you of something important: in Islam, our intentions matter.
I still remember when I first accepted Islam. There seemed to be so much to learn -how to pray, all these new Arabic words, Qur’an, hijab, Islamic manners, what is halal and what is haram… the list felt endless. Sometimes you can look at everything in front of you and wonder, “How am I ever going to learn all of this?”
But remember, Islam itself was not revealed in one day. 🌿
So give yourself permission to grow gradually.
You may not know everything yet. You may still be learning your salah. You may pronounce some Arabic words incorrectly. You may be trying to understand certain Islamic teachings or struggling to change habits you have had for many years.
What matters is that your intention is sincere and you continue taking steps towards Allah.
Learn one thing and practise it. Then learn another. Ask questions when you don’t understand. If you make a mistake, correct it and continue. Don’t allow the feeling that you have to become the “perfect Muslim” overnight to take away the beauty of your journey.
*And please don’t compare your beginning with someone who has been learning and practising Islam for many years.*❤️
Sometimes we become so focused on everything we still need to learn that we forget to recognise how far we have already come.
*Keep your intention sincere, keep seeking beneficial knowledge and keep moving forward, even if your steps feel small.*🌱
May Allah SWT accept our sincere intentions, increase us in beneficial knowledge, make our journey towards Him gentle and steady, and keep our hearts firm upon Islam. Ameen. 🤲🏻❤️
