Salam Alaikum dear sisters,
I hope you all are feeling well.
Today is Thursday - a message about caring for our BODY.
While people argue whether we are more physical or spiritual, I would say:
Our body is our only true home in this reality — one we must care for ourselves.
Without basic needs we wouldn’t survive. It needs nourishment, water, air, exercise, rest, and sleep — and for us to notice it.
Yet too often, we neglect it — lost in the daily rush, missing its quiet signals.
As women, we carry so much — caring for children, husbands, aging parents, and everyone in between — we often forget ourselves.
My intention is not only to share knowledge, but to inspire a transformation – one that begins within, but radiates outward. Because when a woman feels seen, strong, and connected to herself, her light returns – and she begins to recreate the world around her.
🌿 Our physical health is supported by three essential pillars:
Digestion, hormones, and immunity.
(And yes – our mind and emotions deeply impact all of them.)
When one is imbalanced, the others are affected.
Everything in the body is interconnected.
That’s why a holistic approach is essential.
📅 From Today Until Next Thursday: We Begin Together
*Let’s not just read — let’s take action.*‼️
People have read, seen, and heard so much — but few truly act. Many are lost in information.
My main advice:
Start consciously, and each day, I encourage you to feel your body.
Real habit change takes time — at least 21 days.
Applying something new, especially if you’ve never done it before, takes patience and repetition.
That’s okay. We do this one step at a time.
✅*Start small and steady* – not with drastic changes, but gradual, loving shifts.
✅*Focus on consistency* over perfection – even the smallest progress is still progress.
✅*Listen to your body* – it’s the wisest guide you have.
✅*Don’t compare your journey with others* – we all begin from different places, at our own pace.
My favourite saying:
“Your new day starts the night before” – how you sleep, what thoughts you fall asleep with, and what you eat all shape tomorrow.
🌸 This Week’s 6 Gentle Habits
Start wherever you are – choose what you can do now.
1️⃣ From today until next Thursday, we are practicing five times a day to pause and notice how we feel — focusing on body sensations and emotions.
I’ve written about it before, but here are simple steps:
Sit peacefully, close your eyes, breathe deeply, and ask:
“How am I feeling in my body right now?”
Body is wise, body will tell you, you’ll feel it. Just focus and consciously pay attention.
Why five times?
Because as Muslims, we already pray five times a day.
So we stack a good habit on top of another good habit.
It becomes much easier — and much more powerful.
2️⃣ Digital Detox – from 8:00 PM
No phones, TV ect. after 8 PM (in your time zone).
Step away from screens, social media, and digital noise.
When you spend hours scrolling through others’ reels, you’re chasing their goals, not yours.
Think how much of your life are you willing to give away?
Observe: Is it hard? Why? What surfaces when silence replaces distraction?
Try instead:
• A peaceful walk in nature
• A warm bath with essential oils or Epsom salts
• A calming book
• A heart-to-heart with a loved one
• Early sleep — aim for 22:00
🧠 This habit soothes the nervous system, improves sleep, balances hormones, and brings emotional clarity.
3️⃣ A Morning That Belongs to You
No phone, TV, radio before breakfast — your morning is sacred. It’s your time to align mind and body.
Begin with prayer, gratitude, affirmations, Salam to yourself, shower and nature.
Just open window if you can’t go out.
Affirmations I suggest but you can create your own:
1. I wake with gratitude. My breath, my body, my life are blessings.
2 . Every cell in my body is working to support me. I am grateful.
3. My body is my home, and I choose to care for it with love.
4. I trust my body’s wisdom. It knows how to heal and guide me.
5. I nourish my body with what it truly needs — rest, movement, and presence.
6. Today, I choose calm over chaos, presence over pressure.
7. I do not need to rush. I flow with the rhythm of my own life.
*Let you come first — not the world.*🌍
4️⃣ Morning Ritual
Upon waking:
• Brush your teeth 🪥
• Drink 250 ml of warm (almost hot) water 💧
• Wait at least 30 minutes before breakfast
Some like warm water with lemon — if you’re used to that, it’s okay.
If not, I recommend starting with just hot water.
🧠This ritual gently wakes digestion, supports the liver and gallbladder, and signals your body it’s time to begin.
5️⃣ Hydration Habits
Your water goal: 30 ml per kg of body weight daily (includes herbal teas).
I suggest hearbsl teas to rotate:
• Calendula
• Cumin & coriander seed tea
• Dandelion root
Drink before or between meals — not during.
Only sip a little warm water after food if the meal is dry.
💡 Tip: Make a gentle water reminder off your phone — go analog: put a note on the fridge ect.
6️⃣ Mindful Eating
• Eat in a peaceful space
• No phone
• Chew slowly
• Engage your senses 🍽
Let eating become a moment of connection with yourself— not just fuel or habit. It is absolutely possible to do this even with babies and toddlers.
💬 Let’s Reflect Together:
• Which habits feel easiest for you to begin?
• Which ones feel more challenging right now?
• What shifts are you hoping to experience on this journey?
✨ Maybe you’re already practicing some of these habits…
If so, tell us what’s been working for you — we’d love to learn from your experience. 💗
We’re walking this path side by side, and your voice matters.❤️
