Salam Alaikum dear Brothers and Sisters. Hope you all are doing well.

Welcome everyone who recently joined this group.

Recently I texted about different forms of betrayal and today more about FLIRTING.

Dear brothers and sisters, I have a question for you today.

Do you like flirting?

And more importantly What is flirting, really?

Did you know that 55% of people who join an online dating website do so because they just had their heart broken? They use dating websites to help boost their bruised ego by flirting with other members. While they may not have any intention of going out on a date with them, flirting online can make them feel better about themselves and hasten the time it takes to get over the failed relationship.

Some say it’s harmless. Others call it attention-seeking.

So people flirt for many reasons boosting self-esteem, habit, boredom, curiosity, or even emotional disconnection.

Flirting isn’t always about physical attraction.
It’s often about wanting to feel seen, appreciated, valued, or in control.

Recently, one sister was very upset with her husband and texted me:

“He’s flirting online with other women. What should I do?”

But let’s be honest do only men flirt?
Or do some women also flirt through messages, body language, or social media posts, sometimes without realising it?

Flirting is emotional, not just physical.
*It’s tone, timing, and intention.*‼️
It’s when attention becomes currency given or taken to feel alive or important.

So… is flirting a form of betrayal?

Not all flirting is the same as physical cheating, but yes it can be a form of emotional betrayal.

*If you would hide it from your spouse, or it would hurt them to see it, it has already crossed a line.*‼️

To that sister, and to anyone facing the same:

First—breathe.
This may feel painful, but it’s also a signal not to blame yourself or your spouse, but an opportunity to reflect gently.

Sometimes people flirt not because something is deeply broken, but because they’re looking for a moment of validation, confidence, or connection.

*We’re human and we all want to feel seen, appreciated, or uplifted. But how we seek that matters.*‼️

So if you find yourself in this situation, pause and gently ask:

✅Are we truly connecting emotionally, not just physically?
✅Are we giving each other attention and presence, or drifting into distance?
✅Are we building each other’s confidence or leaving that to strangers on a screen?
✅Is this a cry for connection or a sign of emotional habits that need healing?

So what can you do?

1. Begin with calm, honest conversation, not blame.

2. Listen more than you accuse. Reflect more than you react.
3. And most importantly rebuild your connection with love, presence, and sincerity.

It’s truly painful
and sometimes, it takes time to process what you’re feeling.
Often, people respond with emotion or even blame,
but please remember:
It’s not your fault.
Give yourself permission to feel, to breathe, and to heal.
You don’t need to carry the weight of someone else’s behaviour.

To all of us, men and women:

Check your energy.
If you’re posting, texting, or speaking in a way that seeks admiration from others ask yourself: What are you truly looking for? And could it already exist in your home if only you both tried again?

Let’s stop flirting with distraction and start flirting with intention only WITH YOUR OWN SPOUSE . ‼️Your own peace. Your own healing.

Let’s open this conversation with our spouses today not to argue, not to accuse, but to understand each other.

Ask each other gently and honestly:
• What does flirting mean to you?
• Do we feel truly seen, appreciated, and valued by each other?
• What do we need more of, from each other, to feel connected and secure?

Real connection starts with real conversation.

Have a nice day. ☀️
